Getting Festive for Fall

The temperature is dropping, and the leaves are falling, which means big sweaters, cozy fires, and pumpkin spice everything. I cannot deny it, I am obsessed with fall, and you should be too. If you are counting down the days until fall is officially here or not ready just yet to say goodbye to summer, here are a few things you can do to embrace spooky season.

  1. Bring out the ‘cozies’
Begin embracing the season by adjusting a few of your fashionable items or style of clothing. As much as we love the hotter weather, we have secretly been excited to put away dresses and sandals and bring out our cozies! To freshen up your wardrobe, consider checking out Comfy and Cozy by Jess to find your perfect scarf and shawl combo, or Jexy and Jax, the mother-daughter team with a combined passion for creating beautiful Canadian-made garments for women of all ages.
  2. Fall Décor
Fall is right around the corner, which means crisp temperatures and warm colours making your home feel, oh so cozy. Fall décor is my personal favorite; it can be as versatile as you wish from cozy blankets and throw pillows to spooky antiques and farmhouse looks, you really cannot go wrong.I have fallen in love with Daryl McMahon Antique Reproductions, many of his pieces are repurposed antiques, adding some vintage and distressed feels to your home, knowing it will be unique to your space. You may also consider gifting some of those ‘fall feels’ to a family member or friend with DezignedForU’s large, engraved and personalized Welcome signs— the perfect addition to any front porch.
  3. All Things Apple
Isn’t it weird how our palates change throughout the season? The weather drops and suddenly we are craving soups and warm beverages and of course any seasonal fruit. I could spend hours walking around apple orchards and sipping on cider and enjoying a warm apple pie. Have you heard of Art Dean’s Apples and Cider? There can never be enough warm apple cider… especially at family gatherings as you approach Thanksgiving!

These unique and wonderful products are available at the VIRTUAL 46th Annual Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival. Browse the online store today at thanksgivingfestival.ca/shop-now/.
