About the festival

A Niagara Tradition

The Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival is a beloved Niagara tradition and a staple for families and the community to gather and celebrate. Located within the picturesque Ball’s Falls Conservation Area, this festival offers an unforgettable experience. With over 150 unique craft and artisan vendors, delicious foods, craft beverages and wines, fresh local farmers’ market vendors, live music, children’s entertainment, historical demonstrations, heritage tours, and guided nature hikes, there’s something for everyone.

The first Thanksgiving Festival was held at Ball’s Falls Conservation Area in 1974. The intention was simple – to raise money for conservation and environmental programs that were not otherwise funded. This remains the purpose of the Festival today. From its humble beginnings as a one-day crat show, the event has become a family tradition.

Enjoy the beauty of the fall season along the Niagara Escarpment as you take in the sights, sounds, and delicious scents of the festival and explore the colorful forested trails.

Farmer’s Market

We have proudly incorporated a thriving Farmer’s Market into the annual Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival. As an organization dedicated to environmental conservation, we believe the Farmer’s Market is a perfect addition, offering local farmers a wonderful opportunity to showcase and sell their fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, flowers, and so much more.

This component of the festival embodies the spirit of Thanksgiving, providing visitors with a diverse array of items that enhance their experience. From farm-fresh ingredients to beautiful floral arrangements, the market offers everything needed to make Thanksgiving truly special.

The Farmer’s Market is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM during the festival and attracts an average of 25,000 visitors throughout the event.

We invite you to join us and support our local farmers while enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Are you interested in being a Farmer’s Market vendor at the 2025 Thanksgiving Festival?

Fill out the application found https://thanksgivingfestival.ca/vendor-application. All Farmer applicants must grow their own crops and all wineries must grow their own grapes to qualify.

Please include your company name and contact information, location of your Farm or Winery, products you are looking to offer at the Festival and any other information you would like to include. Applicants could be asked to limit their product offerings to allow more Farmers and avoid duplication.

Your visit makes a difference! $1 from every General Admission ticket will go to Niagara Peninsula Conservation Foundation (NPCF). By attending the festival, you are not only enjoying a wonderful event, you are contributing to vital conservation efforts in our community, including restoration of wetlands, forests and wildlife habitat; protection of ecologically important properties; and educating future generations about the importance of caring for our natural heritage. Thank you for helping us make a positive impact!
