GENERAL FESTIVAL QUESTIONS

Virtual Festival and Vendor Marketplace

Can I only shop online?

Guests are invited to shop their favourite artisan vendors online until October 4 and schedule their pick-up during Thanksgiving weekend. However, we will also be hosting a modified in-person Festival from Oct. 8 to Oct. 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. This live component will also feature many of the same vendors in our virtual store.

Are you offering delivery for online orders?

No, all online orders must be picked up at the Centre for Conservation at Ball’s Falls Conservation Area throughout the Thanksgiving weekend (Friday, October 8 – Monday, October 11), between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

How do I pick up my online orders?

Please arrive at the Centre for Conservation at Ball’s Falls (3292 Sixth Avenue, Lincoln, ON, L0R 1S0) between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Friday, October 8 – Monday, October 11. Proof of purchase (your receipt and order number) and a piece of photo ID are required to collect your order.

In-Person Festival

What are the dates of the in-person Festival?

The in-person Festival will be taking place from Friday, October 8 to Monday, October 11, at Ball’s Falls Conservation Area, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Do I need to have a ticket to attend?

Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance at https://thanksgivingfestival.ca/shop-now/

Advance admission tickets will be required to enter the Festival. ID and proof of purchase will be required at the time of check-in at the Festival. Please arrive together with your group at the admission gate. Please note that there are no physical tickets required. However, your receipt and proof of purchase will be required at the admission gate to enter the Festival.

What are the terms and conditions when purchasing admission tickets in advance?

Please do not attend the Festival if you or a member of your household are feeling ill, experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have been asked to isolate or tested positive for COVID-19.

  • All visitors must follow local and provincial public health guidelines.
  • The admission gate attendant will ensure numbers in the party on registration match the participants present.
  • Tickets are 100% non-refundable / non-transferable.
  • The NPCA reserves the right to cancel park visits due to adverse conditions.
In the event that Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival is to be cancelled because of Ontario Government COVID-19 guidelines, a refund will be made in full.

Will you be accepting walk-ins?

Advance admission reservation is required for the 2021 Ball’s Falls Festival. Please purchase in advance to avoid disappointment.

I purchased tickets for a group of people. How do we check-in at the Festival?

If you purchased for a group, please arrive at the admission gate together to check in. Guests will be able to park separately, meet with their group, and check in at the admission gate together to streamline arrival and admission.

Is the festival rain or shine?

Yes, the Festival is rain or shine! If it rains, tents will be set up, so that food, drink, and market vendors are still available for the enjoyment of our guests.

Will there be parking available?

Yes, there will be parking is included with your advance ticket purchase. The main Festival parking entrance is accessed from 7th Avenue, Lincoln, ON.

Will the Festival be accessible?

The main festival grounds are generally firm and flat, consisting of gravel and grass, but there are some sloped sections. Pathways into the event area are sloped, but accessible switchback trails are available, and accessible parking is provided.

Will there be accessible parking?

Yes, visitors with a valid Ontario Accessible Parking Permit will be able to park in the accessible parking lot, accessed from 6th Avenue at Victoria Avenue, Lincoln, ON.

Is this a family-friendly event?

Yes, guests of all ages are welcome at the Festival! Children’s entertainment will be provided through the event, included on the main stage and in the heritage village!

Are dogs allowed?

Pets are not permitted at the Ball’s Falls Festival, with the exception of valid service animals.

Will there be restrooms?

Permanent restrooms and portable restrooms will be available for guests to use. There are accessible restroom facilities on site.

Will there be food and beverage vendors?

Yes! There will be a diverse and delicious line-up of local food and beverage providers at the Festival.

Will there be gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options?

There will be several gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options to choose from.

What else is there to do at Ball’s Falls Conservation Area?​

COVID-19 RELATED QUESTIONS

Online, Pick-Up, and In-Person Festival

Is proof of vaccination required to pick up my online orders?

No, proof of vaccination status is not required to enter the facility only to pick up a pre-purchased order.

Are masks required to pick up my online orders?

Yes, masks are required when indoors as per by-law. Orders will be picked up inside the Centre for Conservation.

Is proof of vaccination required to attend the in-person Festival?

As per Ontario legislation, proof of vaccination is not required for attendance at this outdoor event.

The NPCA will be delivering the 2021 Ball’s Falls Festival in compliance with provincial and local public health regulations with precautions in place to ensure the health and safety of visitors, vendors, volunteers, and staff and to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Such precautions include limited daily visitation capacity, required advance ticket purchase, physical distancing, and recommended masks, and outdoor festival elements.

Are masks required at the Festival?

All Festival elements are outdoors. However, masks are recommended in settings where guests cannot maintain 2 metres of physical distance from others outside their household. Masks are required within indoor facilities, such as washroom buildings, heritage tours, and the Centre for Conservation.

Is proof of vaccination required for participating in Heritage Tours?

Yes, to enter the heritage buildings on the ticketed, guided tours, participants will be asked to provide proof of vaccination and photo I.D. at their time of check-in for their reserved tour.

Is proof of vaccination required to access indoor washrooms?

No, proof of vaccination status is not required to enter washroom facilities on site.
